I'm Grateful for my toes!

Today I am Grateful for all those things that go missing because their absence reminds me of how blessed I am to have them at all.
Pretty profound. Sometimes I think we all forget the little blessings in our lives.
As we've been trying to get Grandpa Phillips' toe to heal (since Feb.) ,watching the pain and seeing that if it doesn't heal the Dr. will have to remove it, I become more thankful for my toes. Yes, my heel sometimes still bothers me, but at least I can walk and run.
After having surgery yesterday on Grandpa's toes, I'm sure he's grateful for them too.

What's happened in May

Wow! May has come and almost gone.

Here's what the Phillips' have done in May.

Krista finished soccer. Her team won all but 2 games.
They were a good little team.
She's thinking of trading in her soccer shoes for
Jazz dance and singing next year.

Jared also finished up soccer with his team coming in 3rd. He also turned 11 and became an offical Boy Scout. He's also thinking of trading in his soccer shoes for something else. He hasn't decided for sure, but he would like to try flag football, tennis, swimming, and what ever else he hears about.

Justin team finished with flying colors also, He's not giving up his cleats, but wants to add more basketball. His team will be playing in the summer games next month. His birthday is next month also and the goal of having his Eagle done by his 14th B-day will be accomplished. He finished up his last merit badge, the project has been completed, we just need to now send in the paper work.

Kirk has finished his long fall, winter, spring project. We've been restoring a trailer and it's finally done. We were going to go try it out this weekend, but mother nature wants us to stay home. Kirk's also been busy with work and Young Mens.

I've also started and almost completed a project. What start out as just taking the wallpaper off the little bathroom walls, turned into wallpaper off, floor out, toilet out, cabnets out, new paint in, new floor in, and toilet and cabnets back in. It sure looks good! Now i'm just wondering which room next? Krista's, Jared's, Grandpa's, Kitchen, or Krista's bathroom. We'll wait and see what next month brings.

So that was May in a quick nut shell, We'll see if we can do as much or more in June. I'm sure we can.

Jared's Soccer Team in 4th Place

Jared's soccer team this season has done major improving. Jared has been playing keeper and has done a great job. They have one game left this season, next Fri. and if they come out ahead it will put them in 3rd place. They have won 2, lost 2 and tied 3 games. Todays game was a 7-2 win. They looked great. It's alway fun to watch them play.

Arrow Of Light

April 24th- Jared received his Arrow Of Light in Cub Scouts.

Kirk and I got to paint his face as they talked about the colors and what they stood for.

He and his friend Devin Yost both got their awards tonight. Jared and Devin have been friends since they were little. They have done a lot of things together. It was a big step in the cub scouts for both of them. They are now both going into the Scouting program together. Hopefully they will keep each other going; and who knows, maybe they will become Eagles together.
